Almost every one has a tattoo that they wish would disappear from their bodies, or we definitely know someone with the problem mentioned. We, humans can be very irrational and spontaneous sometimes, or being influenced by fashion, trend or a friend - that brings us to face some of the undesired consequences - one of them: tattoos-that-seemed-like-a-great-idea-at-the-moment-bit-not-any-more (not the worst consequence of poor decision making I agree but a very common one). This can be a part as who we are in general - we enjoy belonging to groups, brands, streams and we unconsciously storm Google, Pinterest, and such to see the ideas and then trying to fit them on ourselves. But nevertheless we in Maximum Colour believe that we all are individuals with our own unique experience, with a story we can tell through the tattoo art.
It is our responsibility as artists to shift the PinnedIdea to the original concept, outside the common zone. Every tattoo should be a collaboration: the original idea representing who you are fortified by artist's skills and imagination. I myself have a feather tattoo on my forearm which turned out to be very trendy, my good advice would be to ask myself before getting this cute symbol of freedom: if there is anything else that can represent MY feeling, MY emotions, MY personal experience. I would encourage everyone from now on to dig in a little bit deeper in their beings to fish out some unique, personal stuff we can work with.
